Wadia and GNSC have long had a very strong connection. Besides being one of Wadia’s best dealers, two of us at GNSC  (Steve and Todd) worked at Wadia for years and we have been working on and dealing with Wadia products almost every day for the past 18 years. To say we respect the products Wadia builds would be an understatement. To say we at GNSC have an impact on allowing those fine products to provide even greater enjoyment would be an equal understatement.

The premise: Most digital gear is disposable. Wadia gear is different.

Wadia’s Approach: Wadia has committed itself to state of the art sonic performance, legendary build quality, designed upgradeability, and rock solid reliability. When you buy Wadia gear, you can count on it for years to come because it is built to provide a lifetime of enjoyment and is designed to accommodate upgrades as Wadia advances digital technology.

Great Northern Sound’s Contribution: We have the highest regard for Wadia and their products. That’s why we spend so much time making them even better. We know Wadia gear inside and out. Our experience and commitment to Wadia products means that besides selling stock Wadia products, we will continue to modify and support selected current Wadia products to get the very best from every last digit of the ever- evolving Wadia line. Besides the GNSC optimized units we offer for sale, we can usually perform upgrades and updates developed by Wadia themselves. Most other dealers have to send the units to Wadia for upgrading….we can generally do it right here for our clients. That means you get the best of both worlds….Wadia’s support and commitment to your long term satisfaction coupled with our own commitment to support and sonic enhancements.

Why We Even Bother: If Wadia gear is so good already, how can Great Northern Sound make it better for a price that is reasonable? It is not an exaggeration to say that we built Great Northern Sound on Wadia mods. It has been our most important line of work. Our reputation for improving the already excellent Wadia gear is well established. Take a look at our Testimonials page. Search for posts about us on the internet.

Investment Grade Digital Gear: We think that we have achieved our success because our customers understand that when they modify their Wadia gear, they will not regret it the next week, month, year – even many years into the future. Why? Because our customers know that the Wadia gear will provide an engaging musical performance for years and years and years. If musical satisfaction ever becomes obsolete, so too will Wadia. Until then, making the most of your Wadia gear will always be a good musical investment.
Please note that we no longer accept Wadia products purchased elsewhere for modification. We do, however, offer GNSC modified versions of the Wadia 381, S-7"i", and 9 Series components...
